Having as much fun as possible
The most important job I get to have is to be human. To me, this means being in relationship with other people and never taking for granted a moment to tell people that I love and appreciate them. Along the way, especially when the news is heavy and hope for a better world is hard to find, I believe rest, joy, and fun are key components of the resistance movement. The most authentic way I can express my personhood, humanity, and even feelings like anger and hurt, is often through fun. In that spirit, across all of my work, “the fun” of whimsical poetics, comedic workshops, and creating community care that is celebratory and joyous is the core of it all.
If this resonates with anyone and you would like to collaborate to design and implement initiatives that build a better world in a fun and joyous way, don’t hesitate to reach out.
